If this is not on your reading list...

Actually think I have used it in every single essay I've written since first year...scribbles and post-its all over my copy!

Hello world...

Hey!!

So, congrats on the student teaching malarkey! For those who are about to start their PGCE's or are waiting on those all important A level results in August, but welcome to the student teaching crowd.

Thought I'd start with a slight bio about me. I'm Katherine, and am now going into my fourth and final year of a BA QTS course at Liverpool Hope with a specialism in Music. I absolutely love the career, and even though I'm not paid for it...yet, I absolutely love my job! Nothing better in the world than seeing progression in your children, and go into school not knowing what each day will bring. I have been on a good few placements, and have more often than not needed somewhere to ask questions, or to look for inspiration beyond the TES websiteprimary resources and teaching ideas. Even just somewhere to see whether my fellow students (oh, I'm sorry, to anyone in LHU...I meant 'colleagues'!!) are in the same boat as me. Hopefully, the aim of this is to get rid of any anxiety and give all us ITT lot a voice of guidance and support through our courses and studies, whatever our route!

Feel free to comment, get in touch via a number of means. My twitter is all systems go, and there will be a facebook page to follow. I'm also after some potential student teacher bloggers to let us know their journey through teaching. Get in touch if you fancy it, or comment below your fb link.

This may be a needle in a haystack, but I think there's a hidden gem beneath all of this.

First blog: Book reviews and Reading Lists anyone?

Much love, K xo
