The Neglected Blog...
So, I have a mid year resolution. To actually blog more. Or to make an effort of doing so. I've found so many good things and been told so much that I have used, and I am going to pass those on.
So here goes nothing...

Right then so.
Okay, so my blogging has genuinely been pathetic since I set this whole thing up at the start of the year. I mean, I do a million and one things as it is, just sitting down and blogging is just one of those tiny things that slip.
However.
Put that into comparison with everything else I do. People generally think I'm mad, and have done since the age of about 5 as to how much stuff I actually do. You know, when your a kid it's all, I do this on Monday, this on Tuesday . As a trainee teacher, it's even worse than normal for a 22 year old.
Here's the list.
Football. Netball. A whole shebang of music related offerings. Production rehearsals. Youth leader-ing. Little Church Team Member. Marking. Planning lessons. University. Writing essays. CCRS.
I'm mad aren't I?
I often think to myself, somethings got to give. However, I love everything far too much (Marking included, just not the time scale. Except maths marking, that's really not likable... Ever). Cue dilemma. Am I doing too much? Will sheer exhaustion kick in mid way through NQT year? Will I end up with stress pouring out of my eyes.
Most probably.
Is it time to make some changes?
TBC.

If this is not on your reading list...
Actually think I have used it in every single essay I've written since first year...scribbles and post-its all over my copy!
Hello world...
So, congrats on the student teaching malarkey! For those who are about to start their PGCE's or are waiting on those all important A level results in August, but welcome to the student teaching crowd.
Thought I'd start with a slight bio about me. I'm Katherine, and am now going into my fourth and final year of a BA QTS course at Liverpool Hope with a specialism in Music. I absolutely love the career, and even though I'm not paid for it...yet, I absolutely love my job! Nothing better in the world than seeing progression in your children, and go into school not knowing what each day will bring. I have been on a good few placements, and have more often than not needed somewhere to ask questions, or to look for inspiration beyond the TES website, primary resources and teaching ideas. Even just somewhere to see whether my fellow students (oh, I'm sorry, to anyone in LHU...I meant 'colleagues'!!) are in the same boat as me. Hopefully, the aim of this is to get rid of any anxiety and give all us ITT lot a voice of guidance and support through our courses and studies, whatever our route!
Feel free to comment, get in touch via a number of means. My twitter is all systems go, and there will be a facebook page to follow. I'm also after some potential student teacher bloggers to let us know their journey through teaching. Get in touch if you fancy it, or comment below your fb link.
This may be a needle in a haystack, but I think there's a hidden gem beneath all of this.
First blog: Book reviews and Reading Lists anyone?
Much love, K xo
